Online retailer Gameplanet Store in New Zealand has a nice offer: Order Bioshock and get a free t-shirt.

The black t-shirt features the Bioshock logo and seems to be exclusive to Gameplanet right now, since it differs from t-shirts given by other places (sweepstakes etc.).

You get the t-shirt if you order the Bioshock Tin Edition (PC/360) or Collector's Edition (360). It looks like the CE for PC is out of stock.

Whatever is planned for Games Convention, the (new?) Bioshock trailer is safe for children's eyes. The German USK rated a title named "Bioshock (GC-Trailer)" for audiences aged 6+. The trailer is supposed to be English and PC was mentioned as the target system.

What could be inside the trailer? Two minutes of Little Sisters sitting on a playground in Rapture? Big Daddies collecting flowers? If it's not a peaceful CG movie this time, I guess it's another fly-by movie through the different decks of Rapture.

Second possibility is a mistake, of course. Having a trailer of an FPS, which was rated "Mature" viewable for children sounds strange.

I am sure we will rub our eyes anyway during Games Convention, which is August 23 - 26.

USK - Bioshock (GC-Trailer)

Community/IRC chat member Andrey found a new uploaded video at Gametrailers.com, in which 2K Marketing Coordinater Eric Monacelli plays some Bioshock on PC.

For about 3 minutes, he plays an early part of the game, which was also showed on Xbox 360 before. Since the monitor has been filmed and the video's resolution is quite low, you can't see much. If you are a good Bioshock fan and saw some videos before, you might realize a bit sharper visuals and more details.

Today, Take 2 interactive announced the name change of Irrational Games. Due to the studio's two locations, Irrational Games will now be known as "2K Boston" and "2K Australia".

So how do we like that? It's definetely not a nice move, I think. Irrational Games was known for a team of developers, who were famous for great games. Why do we need to erase a good brand to let everyone know it's our property?

Take Kojima Studios as an example. It belongs to Konami, but giving the team a different name showed some honour to the people, who work there.

In Take 2's press release, Ken Levine stated:"We’re proud to be part of the 2K Games family and enjoy the new opportunities and artistic freedoms this strengthened relationship provides." It's nice to strengthen relationships, but why do you need to give away your name then?

Destructoid.com had some news telling that a launch trailer of Bioshock will air at Spike TV this Sunday.

The trailer will be 60 seconds long and will show Bioshock scenes, never seen before. On top of that, Game Head's Geoff Keighley will make a "surprise announcement" right after the trailer. I will not mention the word "demo" here again, since this might rub even more salt in our wounds.

So watch "The Kill Point" at 9 p.m., 8 p.m. central on Spike TV and enjoy the show. I hope I can make the videos available to you here as soon as I can.

UPDATE: According to Computerandvideogames.com, the announcement will be about downloadable content (specific plasmids) for the Xbox 360. Community member 501105 gave us the tip.
