It's 6:42am here in Germany and getting up was really nice today! The launch trailer has aired on Spike TV and while it is also available on Xbox Live Marketplace, it's of course at Gametrailers.com right now. There is also a Major Nelson podcast with Ken Levine talking detailed about the demo and the game.
So while I am downloading the 360 demo right now, you may wonder what happened to the PC demo. You have to be strong now, since this is what Elizabeth Tobey had to say:
For those of you who are looking for a BioShock demo on the PC, it is in the works and will be out later this month. I'll give you more details about it tomorrow.
Many people do not feel treated well and smell a campaign to push the 360. I guess tomorrow we will hear the detailed reasons for the PC demo delay.
While the demo puts a big smile on my face, the new launch trailers is a bit meh. It is indeed the leaked CG video, which appeared somewhere at Youtube. I won't spoil its content here, but it's fast paced indeed and not that much different from the last CG trailer. I wished to see a more slowlier trailer, showing more of Rapture's beauty and giving you the feeling of how YOU could explore Rapture. Maybe we see that in the next Games Convention trailer.
The Major Nelson podcast is really interesting and entertaining. Ken Levine for example says the 360 demo has a playtime of about an hour with 3 or 4 weapons and 2 plasmids. Sounds nice, right? They are also talking about what kind of research has been done to create the game and how it evolved.
