Bioshock voice actors revealed

I was able to find a list of the English voice actors in Bioshock. Since I am not living in the US, I can't recognize any well known names, but maybe you do. I will also be happy about tips you send me about who might act who in the game.

Hi!

I saw your german XBOX 360 video on youtube. Sadly it was only the first 5 Minutes. Would you kindly upload more of the german bioshock demo footage? I couldn't find any on the net except yours. I just got a PC, and I live in Germany, so I have to wait till the end of the next week. I would really like to hear the german voices (especially Andrew Ryans Welcome Speech).

I will hope I can do it later, but right now I am stuck at home because of learning. Rapture Gazette is my hobby in the free times in between .

I know where you got that list from.

Hehe. Well, now that I know who the actors in the game are, I can take educated guesses at to who is doing what voice.

And I'm very positive now, that Armin Shimerman is doing the voice of Andrew Ryan. I didn't realize it was him, because I didn't think he could lower his voice that much. My original guess was Ron Perlman.

There's definitely a Buffy/Star Trek cross polination here:

JG Hertzler - he'd be most recognizable as General Martok from DS9.

Juliet Landau - Drucilla from Buffy.

Armin Shimerman - as noted by previous commenters, played both Principal Snyder in seasons 2 and 3 of Buffy, and Quark on DS9.

Other non-Buffy/ST actors:

Joshua Gomez - appeared in multiple episodes of "Invasion", "Without a Trace", and the upcoming NBC series "Chuck".

Miriam Shor - appeared in the series "Big Day". Was also in the pilot episode of the TNT series "Damages".

T. Ryder Smith - voice of Baron Underbheit on "The Venture Brothers".

Most of the others on the list are either voiceover specialists, soap opera actors, or have the 'typical NY actor' resume (ie: lots of bit parts on Law & Order, Third Watch, etc.)

Here's the thing, tho - I played through the demo a couple of days ago, and I could have SWORN that Colm Meaney (DS9's "Chief O'Brien", also recently cast in the US version of "Life on Mars") was the voice of Atlas. But he doesn't appear on the list. If it's not Meaney, who is it?

I was *certain* that Sander Cohen was voiced by James Urbaniak.

colm meaney is certainly not atlas , but imo it is an irish actor, as he sounded more natural as atlas then fontain. very well played part whoever it was , didnt notice the would you kindlys until the twist.

Did anyone else see The Phone on MTV? The 'Operator' guy sounds just like Atlas lol. His name is Emmett J. Scanlan.

  yeah I noticed that too exactly the same voice and delivery.
  I didn't see the name Emmett Scanlan listed as a voice actor
  for Bioshock...maybe an alias or maybe a different guy.
