The Bioshock Demo DomeAbout a week ago, Bioshock has been present at this year's Wizard World in Chicago. That is why I investigated a bit and got in touch with the Promoguys Marketing Group, which was responsible for the very cool Bioshock booth in Chicago.

Senior Account Executive Andrea Rota was so kind to provide more information and material to me. If you like to know what the booth was like and if you like to see more photos, then you should hit the jump for more!

Inside the Demo DomePromoguys constructed a cool 10 feet high Rapture Demo Dome, which had 10 Bioshock game kiosks for Xbox 360 to play with.

To create the real Rapturian atmosphere, the promotion team decorated the dome with art deco checkered flooring, blood splatters, posters, graffiti and neon signs. Water effects and security bots on the ceiling must have given visitors the feeling of being trapped in the underwater utopia.

Bioshock Chalk ArtBut there was more: The team hired an artist to draw a huge chalk art in front of the Wizard World halls in Chicago.

He did a complete Bioshock logo with every detail and added other worlds and logos to it. You might need a second to discover him, but there is also a Big Daddy, caught into a water whirl next to the Bioshock logo. If you rotate the image, you will spot him.

You can admire the artist at his work on every step in a photobucket gallery I have linked at the bottom of this article.

On Sunday there was a panel with creators, designers and producers of Bioshock. Elizabeth Tobey was there too, so you might get more info about the panel at CoR, soon.

Most pictures so far showed the 8 feet high Big Daddy statue, they erected (maybe with the help of the Little Sister booth babes around there).

Bioshock SweepstakesI was also informed by Promoguys that they had sweepstakes where you could win a 32" Sharp LCD and a 360 Elite as a first prize and a single Elite as second prize. They must have introduced new Bioshock swag, since most of the visitors received a Bioshock backpack. That sounds promising! I wonder how they look like...

The Promoguys Marketing Group is a partner of 2K Games for several years now and they also did events for games like Amp’d 3, Shattered Union, The Darkness, Ghost Rider, Dungeon Siege II, Stronghold Legends and Fantastic Four; Rise of the Silver Surfer. They arrange the Bioshock launch party in Boston and you will read more news about this upcoming event soon here at Rapture Gazette.
