What is a real fan without his arsenal of goodies? Nothing! That's why 2K Community Manager Elizabeth Tobey spills some nice Bioshock swag for devoted Cult of Rapture Members ("Cult Member Perks").

After exclusive 360 dashboard themes and gamerpics, posters, pens and t-shirts were now added. Do you remember the limited faceplates, which were sent to gamestore employees? Those Xbox 360 faceplates can be yours now, too!

Now look at this! This is one of the entries for the Destructoid.com contest. I have never seen such an anticipated piece of fan art.

Luca and Enza from Italy worked about 30 hours on this and 60m (!) of aluminium foil was used for the suit. You heard that right: Someone was really stuck inside of this, tolerating 45°C (113°F). Varnishes, acrylic paint, marker pencils and a lot more was used to tune the look of this Big Daddy suit.

Luca and Enza did that to have a chance on winning a limited Bioshock faceplate and a t-shirt. This is a real symbol of love; not only for Bioshock since Luca and Enza are a couple, too.

The deadline for the contest ended yesterday and I really hope they win. Hit the link for other great, especially funny entries.

The composer Garry Schyman, who is responsible for the Bioshock soundtrack, is quite popular right now. Teamxbox and OXM UK both have interviewed the musician, who also composed music for the A-Team and Magnum PI in "his youth".

Both interviews e.g. cover questions about differences between game/movie soundtracks, how he worked with Irrational Games, his influences and orientations and the favourite song of his Bioshock soundtrack.

Since some people like to emphasize it and many people haven't already read it: Bioshock has gone gold.

In a recent interview, Ken Levine was asked about the gold status of the game and he answered that the team at Irrational games had a little party because of that.

That the game has already gone gold a while ago was expected by most of the fans, but there was no official announcement yet.

I just love this new trailer. It has everything you want: Lots of developers, who talk about the ecosystem of Rapture, brand new gameplay scenes and Garry Schyman's soundtrack in the background.

Sorry, no downloadable demo yet, but 2K Games invades the Wizard World booth in Chicago this weekend, August 10-12. Everyone can go there and play Bioshock for PC and Xbox 360 (no kidding!).

Community Manager Elizabeth Tobey might also show up there for a meet and greet, eventually. Expect to get a lot of feedback by Bioshock fans soon!

Apart from Chicago, Bioshock will be present at the Edinburgh Interactive Festival. Adrian Lawton, PR Manager at Take 2 Interactive Europe will hold a Bioshock Game Screening, Tuesday August 14 (19:30). This gaming screening is open to some gamers, who got a free ticket at the Gamestation store Princes Street, Edinburgh.

Luckily, we will have a local contributor in Edinburgh for the some coverage.
